Vaginal steam baths, Faya Watra, or Yoni herbs, are an age-old practice among African and Afro-Surinamese women. They are used to tighten and dry the vagina or to cleanse the uterus after menstruation, pregnancy, miscarriage, or abortion.

The fayawatra is a steam bath consisting of Sisa Afiba's special blend of specific herbs:
  • Jarakopi Wiri
  • Seetompu Wiri
  • Masoesa Wiri
  • Ma limbe limbe Wiri (Anesi Wiri)
  • Killing Somebody Wiri
The Faya Watra Package consists of:
  • Faya Watra Blend
  • Enamel po
Choose from:
  • Boiler gas
  • Boil all heat sources
Instructions for use:
  • Take a handful of herbs in 1 liter of water
  • Bring the herbs to the boil and let it simmer gently for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Pour the liquid into an enamel pot or basin.
  • Sit on top of the chamber pot or bowl with your legs spread for about 10 minutes to allow the steam to properly enter.
  • Then you have two choices, both of which you can do:
    1. Once the water has cooled, you can sit in the basin.
    2. You can optionally add some cold water and wash/touch your vagina with the herbal water.
  • After this treatment, you'll feel wonderfully fresh and clean. The Faya Watra helps with complete vaginal cleansing.
  • Faya Watra is particularly suitable for women who have given birth or have had a miscarriage.
